Title: Help with authors name parameter
Post by: benone on May 01, 2010, 00:41:44
Hi people.

I know this issue has been addressed earlier this year at: https://forum.elxis.org/index.php?topic=4464.msg29797#msg29797
In my case I'm having problem hiding only the author's name and created date parameters. I have tried this from the global config and content's items. The trash is empty ;D! Unfortunately I don't know what to try next. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

The "menu link config page" mentioned in the thread of reference, how do I get there? Sorry, I'm just confused.

If you see the specific content item by a menu item of type blog content category or blog content section, (where the content item belongs) then you must set the same parameters on these items menu.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I seem to be talking of a different problem. The issue is on the front page like  how elxis displays "Thursday, 16 April 2009 | Elxis Team" on the teaser items on the demo landing page. You can see that the default name shown there is that of the publisher "Elxis Team".

So if 10 users publish their articles, that will show different names and dates of publication which is kinda cool. But can such a feature be turned off?

Thanks again.

You are welcome  :)

Of course and can set off if you regulate properly correspondent parameters in all fields. Look carefully the following:

1. Global Configuration -> Content -> Author Names
2. Menu -> Main or Top or Other Menu -> Blog - Content Section or Blog - Content Category -> Author Names
3. Content Item -> Parameters -> Author Names

Note: If the menu item is Table Content Category or Table Content Section the specific parameter you will find it as Author Column
