Title: a new (possible) way off installing elxis

good day all

just going over my site at the back end wich is done with direct admin software i came across http: //installatron[dot]com/

with direct admin and this installatron people can install a lot off software from the direct admin panel.

maybe its an idea to get elxis as a possible cms on this.

I don't really think that there is any problem with installing Elxis as long as the person who installs it remembers to check the system requirements before doing so.  Using an external installer is like trying to re-invent the wheel.

The majority of problems with installations from what I have seen is the use of servers which do not have compatible requirements and then the file permission settings.

no i mean iff the developers can get the  software with installatron as a package it will be availible for a lot more people.

i mean on server there are resellers , a lot off these provider work have  direct admin installed in order to controlle there clients and so on

Hi, I'm sorry but I had to remove full link to installatron, as it is a commercial application which has nothing to do with us.

I think they can add Elxis to it anytime, but I think it is always better to install it by hand.

Yeah ok, it's the same as the well known Fantastice Deluxe script package.

In the past i had an individual script, preinstalled on my server. and any client who wanted to have it on his Hosting account... could install it easily.

i don't know if this can be done with Elxis. As far as i can remember, i also have posted/asked long time ago, and the answer from Elxis Team was... No.

By using the official Elxis shell pre-installer (http://www.elxis-downloads.com/com_downloads/patches/142.html) you download Elxis and prepare it for installation within 10 seconds maximum. Then you continue via the web installer that will take you no more than 1 minute to install Elxis. So, Elxis installation wont take you more than 1,5 minutes and you have an elxis site up and running with the best set up possible.
