Title: trouble entering the administration console

I'm having trouble entering the administration console... Right after installation is complete, I click on the administrator link and I am redirected to the login page where I can enter my username (which is of course admin) and my password. I enter them and I am again redirected to the same login page without getting a "wrong username or password" message. I do get such a message if I try to enter a wrong username or password though. No matter how many times I enter the correct username and password, I am redirected to the same page without an error message.

Aren't the right username and password those that appear in the last step of the installation process?

Any help is really welcome... Thanks for reading my question!!!

Welcome dow!

Usually this happens because of an active software firewall.

Do you have programs like ZoneAlarm, Symantec Internet Security running?
If so, please disengage them and try again.

I have had the same problem. In my case I found out that I have to use exactly the same URL as shown in step "Site Settings" of the installation process.

Example: http://www.yourdomain.gr/administrator/

Don't forget the slash at the end. As i have seen sometimes (without the use of slash) Elxis letting you in, but without the www. prefix and limited rights.
