Title: google webmaster tools and sitemap

good day all

I have ios sitemap up and running and I uploaded the site map to google webmaster tools.
at first there was nothing wrong but now webmastertools tells me there are double url in the .xml
I have tried to clear the cache but still a double url in xml files

what can i do

This issue derives from your menus not from sitemap. Sitemap only expands your menus, it does not generates them. If you have 2 menu items linking in the same page then sitemap will display both links (double url).

so iff i have a normal menu and a top menu  ( both pointing to lets say downloads ) then this give the problem

Yes. But even if you have double links this is not so important. I think google just shows you a warning, it has no problem to parse the sitemap. Google parses your sitemap, isn't it? Correct me if I am wrong.

yes it parses everything.
i removed the top menu and no it is all ok
