Hello all,
I am wondering if anyone has tried to link content item pages from the left and right columns areas?
What I want to do is to create a few areas for thumbnail pictures with text along the left and right columns so that they can be links to content item pages.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Please see the following diagram.

dynamically or static link?
for static just create modules...
****
dynamically use menu items and show only menu images(with or without text) something similar .. in http://elxis.ks-net.gr (http://elxis.ks-net.gr) (pallet icon - right menu)
you can css customize your menus or create sufixes and custom menus to display the menu-item-images as wanted

ks-net,
Static links probably because dynamic might be more difficult I think although it would be better.
If it were dynamic, then I would guess that a section and category could be assigned just for that so that the content items could be picked up by some module.
The image area would also have some text either above or below.
Do you mean like "latest job" on your site? I assume that is static but can you add text above or below and not in the title area?

dynamic is just as easy is to create and modify the default elxis menus... you work in a menu and it's items only you enable image option in menu module and assign an image to each menu item....
this latest job is a simple-static module the pallet icon(ks templates for elxis) in the right menu is menu item with image option enebled.
but can you add text above or below and not in the title area?
you can hide original title(as tere is no way to link it) and make a new one linked

Dynamic meaning coming from database data not a menu item to me.
In other words, creating a section, category, and content items with a text and a thumbnail so that they can be database driven to the left and right side of the web page with a link to content item page for the complete information.
Other suggestions anyone?

dynamically or static link?
first mention of dynamic was from me and was obvious that talking about dynamic(item following the link if and when this ganged) linking and not creation..
Dynamic meaning coming from database data not a menu item to me.
In other words, creating a section, category, and content items with a text and a thumbnail so that they can be database driven to the left and right side of the web page with a link to content item page for the complete information.
since asking for this .. only a module with appropriate php code would be able to grab content from database!

Maybe someone else has another way?
