Hi
How secure is Elxis? What are it's security components and safeguards? If I was to run my website on Elxis CMS, what security precautions does it provide me with?

Have you check the Defender ?
Administration area -> Tools -> Defender

Elxis has been approved an extremely secure and errors-free CMS. Ask anyone uses Elxis and he will tell you his experiences. Elxis Defender and Flood Blocker are excellent security tools. You can hide administration login page, you can allow access to the website only to certain IPs, you can block "bad IPs", you can hide PHP variables from the URLs using SEO PRO, Elxis does not needs register globals to be on neither an emulation, it is written in PHP 5 using (mostly) OO programming, the code is errors-free, it uses an advanced access system, has back-up manager included, captcha images support, etc. Follow Elxis reccomendations and you will have nothing to be afraid of. Elxis is being used on many governmental and organizations web sites with no problems at all. Elxis.org itself is being attacked in a daily basis and it is still untouched 3 years now.

The most important reason that i like ELXIS is the security that provide to us.!

I have already received about ten attacks between two months.

plus the fact that elxis can work with php-Non-Risky-settings such us:

short_open_tags = off
register globals = off
url_fopen =off

As we mention all time(and personally confirm)  elxis pay attention first of all to:
Security - stability - fast site operation - multilingual content   ... then all the others......

Me and other community members we have create website for government & other high risk customers.

The website that I have create & monitor has take thousands of thousands attacks and non of this have been successful, some of this site still use the 1st public version of Elxis with out problem. All the more so when it comes to versions 2008.x & 2009

wow impressive, thanks for your feedback, I'm sure this post will be beneficial to many who are doing their research and are still sceptical of Elxis.
