Hi Guys,
We are trying to setup a new corporate website and have already started on some designs via photoshop. However we need a FAQ manager and was wondering how Elxis can help us or if it'll be easy to incorporate our design into it. We also have some content being retrieved via external URL, hope that will not be a problem, maybe an iframe or something?
TIA!
Regards to all

Hello,
If you setup a section and a category named FAQ, then you can assign new content pages to that which you can then setup as a separate menu item according to your needs.

Thanks Xmanhattan for the reply,
However does this mean that the FAQ, will be an external link from our designed site?

Hello,
is the example http://www.elxis-demo.com/ not exactly what you are looking for (go to FAQ section)!? Also retreiving external content works great with elxis: see http://www.elxis-demo.com/ext/elxisorg.html
The elxis demo is a standard installation. Everything you see there is directly available after installation.
Cheers,
Chris

Just a notice: elxis-demo.comstill runs Elxis 2008.0. We have not yet updated the demo site to version 2008.1...

yes, true.
btw, for a live-faq section bubbles might be a great component for you - just tested it and it works GREAT!

Hi All,
The FAQ module is more than enough for us, on the other hand, will we be able to use our own design inside Elxis?

Hi,
theoretically yes. Templates and content are completely seperated. You will need some knowledge of HTML and (a lot of) CSS. I guess some little PHP basics are good to know as well. There is a template guide (PDF) available here: http://www.elxis-downloads.com/documentation/e-books/elxis-templates-guide.html

Hi All,
Let me ask another question, does elxis have a forum plugin?
Thanks
-
There is component Bubbles, it is not exactly a forum but it might suit to your needs.

Thanks you.
