Title: After installation problems with the content(solved)
Post by: StefanSultanov on August 24, 2008, 16:13:46
Hi there I didn't knew where else to post this, but I am a comlete newbee.
I host the site remotely and I have installed the sample content as recomended.

But everywhere in the site there are links to elxis and no matter how I tried - in the content module the site www.elxis.org keeps loading.
Please tell me what to do.
The site is www.vanesa.biz it is a site for a building company and these links shouldn't be there. At least I can not find where to turn them off.

Thanks in advance

You can remove the menu links from menu manager ... just select them and then remove them

Sorry!
I seem to post my question on two plases - here and as a reply to "weird problem!!" topic.

I hope that I'm not driving you mad, but that is the problem - I see links that shouldn't be there i. e. I don't see this link in the mainmenu module backend so I can not remove it.

Also my content module is showing elxis.org
and it shouldn't - site name defined.

If you are mentioning for the footer, you can edit the template HTML source , and the remove the line :

Code: [Select]
<?php include_once( $mosConfig_absolute_path.'/includes/footer.php'); ?>

from the source and save the template... :)

For another links on the menu , you can directly remove them from the menu manager ... Main Menu , Top Menu , Other Menu , ...

I just went to your admin area and go to menu :

Menu -> mainmenu -> Clicked on the checkbox beside the menu item -> clicked on Trash icon ...

The menu item deleted simply ...
I did this for Other Menu too ...

Anything else? ;)
