Title: Problem whit main menu

I have just finished installing elxis locally on a PC with opensuse 11, with xampp as webserver and going mainmenu leaves blank page.
incompatibility with xampp? with PHP or ...?

XAMPP for Linux 1.6.7
Database Version:     mysql 5.0.51b (Version: 5.0.51)
PHP Version:    5.2.6
Web Server:    Apache/2.2.9 (Unix) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8h PHP/5.2.6 mod_apreq2-20051231/2.6.0 mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.0

the problem does not happen unless I install the data by default, then I assume that there is a problem with the db .. check

the problem is throughout the menu management in practice leaves blank page, now really do not know what to think ...

i have a problem

whit php 4.4.8
i have'nt problem
