Post by: ameo on August 10, 2008, 09:58:20
i'm about to upload version 2008.0 yet wondering when the next release would be available coz i like the eblog addition .

if it's less than a month i can wait and stay with my current cms !

ps i still didn't try elxis but i think it's pretty handy to use . and would like to go with the latest versions when starting to use it .

thanks

Elxis 2008.1 was about to be released by the end of August 2008 but due to some latest additions (like the eBlog component) will now be released by the end of September 2008.

I'm doing some system upgrades and considering certain decisions.

With this in mind I'm wondering if , with the end of September fast approaching, if it will make the deadline.

Question:

"Is the release of 2008.1 on schedule?"

Thank-you.

Elxis 2008.1 will be released based on the schedule, on September 2008. This means that you still have to wait for maximum 3 days...

You must understand that making a new release is not so simple as publishing a zip file. Elxis 2008.1 is ready and already installed in 5-6 sites, mostly for testing purposes, but making a public release is some different. Unfortunately we did nt get translations for all existing Elxis languages so we have to edit the language files by ourselves to add them the missing language strings.

Greetings.

I understand that.

I'm doing some server work and knowing if 2008.1 is on schedule is convenient for me.

Besides, I'd rather wait for something to be fully cooked, than be served it half-backed.

I appreciate your work.
