I used automated scripts from Cpanel's Fantastico to install one script.
I downloaded elxis, i uploaded in a folder http://mysite.gr/fakelos and i created a new database through
Cpanel mysql database/create new.I added a new user and i attached to my database.
I now access configuratio.php-dist in elxis where is located in my main servers root.
I renamed it to configuration.php
and i put the codes from my database, username,psw etc.
i didnt changed the files permission yet as this is a matter after the first connection
with the database. i'll changed it later.
I get this error back when i am trying to catch the folder in order to install the script...
"500 internal server error"
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your reques
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
what am i doing wrong?

Did you done the installation process?

Create new file configuration.php in root and install new elxis packages.

No need to create any file in normal mode ... ???
Only upload Elxis and locate your browser to the URL of your site (or sub-folder) , Follow the installation and put your database information ...
The installation will make configuration.php for your site ...

Έχω ξαναστήσει εφαρμογές. Απ'ότι φαίνεται κάτι δεν λειτουργεί σωστα.
Κατεβάζω την τελευταία έκδοση και την κάνω extract μέσα στο φάκελο που θέλω
μετά γράφω το domain και δεν εμφανίζεται τίποτα...
παίρνω το παραπάνω error...
Κανονικά έπρεπε απευθείας να αναγνώριζε και να πήγαινε να εκκινήσει την εγκτάσταση από
τον installer. Έτσι δεν είναι;

You are right! i have already install other scripts e.g mambo & joomla etc.
i downloaded the latest elxis release, i extracted in a folder in my root directory, and after
i tried to reach the full path in my domain...
http://mysite.gr/folder/installation
or http://mysite.gr/folder/
it should automaticaly recognise the installation folder.
i didnt receive anything but the error...

First check if there is any configuration.php file , if exist remove it , Also check that all files uploaded and overwrite on old existing files ...
Then check it again :)

ok, i deleted configuration.php nothing happened...

check your htaccess.txt , Rename it to .htaccess , Now ?

Ok , try to find these php.ini values :
Safe Mode,Display Errors,File Uploads,Magic Quotes GPC,Magic Quotes Runtime,Register Globals,Output Buffering,Session auto start,Allow URL fopen
Check this also :
Download ELXIS 2008 package on your computer , Extract it and compress files and folders in .zip format and then upload it !
Extract uploaded package and test it , I believe your problem will solve with this solution ;)...

Istor as I now your site I must say to you again that THERE IS NO ELXIS in your site or, if you have it in a sub-directory you have an htaccess error. If you want write here the URL to the Elxis root folder or send me via PM FTP info to login to your site an see what happens.
