Title: New Installation
Post by: hal on March 27, 2008, 00:04:57
Installation was easy. Finished install, and had message to remove/delete installation files and folders, which I did.  I refreshed the page.  Same old thing.  Close the page totally and emptied cookies, cache, history, etc... Still get the "remove/delete installation files and folders."

Help!

Thanks,

Hal

This is weird! Are you sure you removed the installation/ folder? Give us a link.

Sure is weird.  :o  You mean that, in the root of your installation there isnt any folder named installation ?!?!?!?!?!

I saw this only once, and it happened to one of my friends, so I solved his problem. Elxis was installed in subdirectory. After I created a subdomain and installed Elxis on that subdomain, everything was OK.

I think you have set the configuraion variable $mosConfig_absolute_path to a wrong value. It looks like it is set to:
/home/bshack/public_html/elxis/home/bshack/elxis
Where it should be:
/home/bshack/public_html/elxis

Please check this at configuration.php

DNS could never be affected by a php script such as elxis anyways, even opendns.com could not resolve it (even after telling it to refresh the dns cache)
