Title: Elxis 2006 Vs Elxis 2008

Hello

I am reading all this posts in the forum but I am not quite sure which installation of Elxis should I use from now on.

Also, in the new Elxis2008 download center there are not so many components, bridges etc  compared with the ones available
in Elxis 2006. 
     Components like Docman are important I think for a CMS but I didn't see something similar for Elxis2008.
     Does Elxis 2008 comes with a forum?  Is there a bridge to SMF?
     Does Elxis support Docman or is there an alternative?
     Are the Elxis2006  templates compatible with Elxis2008?
     
I have these questions because I want to install Elxis and I'm not sure whether I stick with Elxis2006
or Install 2008?
Or should I install Elxis2006 and wait until a more full featured Elxis2008 is available and with more extensions available.

I will only tell you this:

Elxis 2006.x is 2 years old, it is outdated, and we don't develop it any more.
Elxis 2008.0 was released just before 20 days. It has already some extensions and we continuously create more for it.
Elxis 2006.x is history, Elxis 2008.x is the present and the future.

Μα τι έχετε πάθει. Στο Αγγλικό τμήμα μιλάτε Ελληνικά και στο Ελληνικό ....Αγγλικά.  ::) ???

Ο μόνος λόγος που χρησιμοποιώ Αγγλικά είναι για το καλό του community, γιατί βλέπω ότι το Elxis είναι international CMS.

Ελληνικά λοιπόν.

Το μήνυμα ελήφθη. Elxis2008 από εδώ και πέρα.
Με forum τι γίνετε? Να χρησιμοποιήσω το SMF σαν stand-alone ή υπάρχει τρόπος να το ενσωματώσω στο 2008?
Ασφαλώς και υπάρχει εάν είσαι PHP guru αλλά για εμάς τους lowskill (χαμηλόσκιλους στα Ελληνικά) χρήστες  τί γίνετε?
Απλά περιμένουμε ή υπάρχει λύση πατέντας?

SMF stand alone.

Για την εμφάνιση των τελευταίων άρθρων εντός του elxis 2008.x χρησιμοποίησε αυτό το module:
SMF Recent Topics (αυτόνομη έκδοση) (http://www.elxis-downloads.com/extensions/forums/smf-recent-topics.html)

Αν δεν υπάρχει ανάγκη να έχεις εγγεγραμμένους χρήστες εντός του elxis μην ενεργοποιείς την σχετική επιλογή και άστους να γράφονται μόνο στο forum.

Υπάρχει ανάλογη international ενότητα στο forum  :)
