Admin control panel not loading correctly in internet explorer. Typically the edit page and new page underall content item is not loading up and it locks the document. But the same is working under firefox. What could be the reason
Also when i login using admin (super admin) from the front end system would say that this user need higher rights to view. I thought super admin had highest rights and nothing could stop super user.
i have a finance department under which there will author editor and publisher
similiarly i have accounts department under which there will author editor and publisher
similiarly i have Marketing department under which there will author editor and publisher
Users of each department should have right to access and maintain the content of their department. finance user should be able to add new autonomous page and content item but user of accounts department or other should not be able to edit or publish the content.
important and critical part is the the client does not want to give these users access to backend. They want these users to manage the content from front end. But if this is possible through backend then i will convinece them to use backend.
How can we achive this? I think this can be easily done in elxis 2008 but the launch of 2008 is still not known if anybody can throw light on elxis 2008 launch as when would it be available for download it would be nice.
Thanks

do you get any error message? so i think , first check your language files , do you have this problem with english language too ?

do you have this problem in internet explorer only? if yes please check this topic first : https://forum.elxis.org/index.php?topic=1167.0
also may be your item is deleted or not exist but you linked to it before deletion ...

you can do it , you should create a user group and add its permissions , you can find complete rules in help of access manager ...
unfortunately there is some problem with access manager in 2006.4 , but this is normal because elxis is the first cms that has access management in both frontend and backendĀ :)

and also may be your item is published in a language but your current language is not that language
example:
you create an item and publish it in persian language only ...
also you create a menu link to it and your menu is published in all languages , so your menu displays in all languages
now come to front end , your current language is english , so your menu displays in this language
but your item published in persian language only , so if you click on the menu link you get this message that this user need higher rights to view ;)
