Title: New to Elxis - advice please?

Hi,

I'm new to Elxis, but have used Mambo and Joomla extensively in the past. I run a genealogy site http://www.mortfamily.net which I wish to upgrade from Mambo 4.5.2. The site has an SMF forum, also TNG genealogy script, which at present have separate logins, which visitors don't like. I plan on bridging the SMF to Elxis, but am unsure about the TNG. Would it be possible with Elxis to use access control to designate approved users as 'genealogy users', therefore avoiding the double registration? At present being a member of TNG gives users rights to view data for living people etc, so I would prefer not to have that area 'public'.

What brings me to Elxis? Surprisingly, the 'lack' of extensions - I get fed up trawling through dozens of extensions looking for the one that works. I would rather have a choice of maybe two that DO work!

TNG is an autonomous application. The only way you can connect Elxis and TNG is by using Elxis bridge system. If you wish contact GO UP (goup.gr) for creating a Bridge between Elxis and TNG for you.
