hi guys,
I am really enjoying my copy of elxis cms, great software!
but i have a small problem..
I keep getting the same error message when editing the configrations and templates:
PHP WARNING
PHP: ereg() [function.ereg]: REG_EMPTY
uri: index2.php?option=com_config&hidemainmenu=1
path: /administrator/components/com_config/admin.config.php
version: Elxis 2006.4 Stable rev1080 [ Nestor ] 04-December-2006 23:08 GMT+2
WARNING(2): /home/hockeymundo/html/hockeymundo.com/elxis/includes/Core/filemanager.class.php, line 415
and for some reason i can't save the templates, it gives 'error 21', maybe this has something to do with above.... ???

Hi,
Don't worry, your problem is most probably read/write permissions related. I have visited your site, and I see you are using one of the default templates. As I've found out, you can't uninstall default templates. Maybe it would be better for you to try and install your own template, because default templates seem to be "protected".
Try another template, and don't give full path of your server in public! And remember to post here did another template solve your problem.
EDIT: Are you using FTP support?

oke,
i'll try and make my own template , is there a tutorial about this?
I am using the ftp settings (i guess this is what you mean)
thanks for the help :)

There is a guide on making template for elxis:
https://www.elxis.org/index.php?option=com_mtree&task=listcats&cat_id=77&Itemid=138
but you can use any simple Mambo/Joomla template, or download any of my free templates for elxis. You may find them at http://www.jazzign.com
