Have anyone ever expirienced DoS attack? Last night I did, so I was wondering is there a way to fight against such attacks. As I understand Elxis Flood blocker is the only way to protect a site from such attacks, right? Last night I had 497 visitors, and my account was suspended. Elxis Flood Blocker was off, because I didn't know how many user will be fluctuating, and thus I didn't know how to set parameters. Now I have turned it on leaving default values, and everything is OK, but I wonder if I could do something more?

Search apache logs, find strange queries and make some inserts to Elxis Defender. DOS attacks are better to be encountered in server level, not in site level. Has your server any protection against DOS attacks? We have about 10 DOS attacks per day on elxis.org's server...
