Post by: rotor on July 17, 2007, 22:40:37
Can anyone recommend a  Private Message component to use with elxis?

There is the PMSGS commercial plugin but it is for Elxis's PowerBoard forum.

Yes that was the one, just couldn't remember which it was

thanks datahell - does it announce messages in the front end or do you have to go into the forum to get notification?

It works only inside the forum. BUT you/we could create a small module that will indicate new messages. Module could use ajax to display you the message without visiting powerboard... Contact GO UP Inc if you are interesting. I repeat that you will have to install the powerboard component (it is free/open source) and to buy the PMSGS plugin for it (12 euro - www.goup.gr/shop ). You won't pay the additional module, I will create it for free for you.

Ok,

I've sent 12 euros via paypal .... your e-store merchant still won't accept my address here in Australia so I've sent it to the same email address as when I purchased e-dir (along with the invoice number)

Thanks for the offer of the mod for the front end - much appreciated

Module is ready, I am sending it to you right now via e-mail.

Contact  ia [AT] goup [DOT] gr if you face problems getting the PMSGS plugin from our shop.

Thank you.

Hi,

ok thanks for everything - all works fine.

Had installed SMF but decided to use powerboard as it's improved out of sight since it's predecessors mamboboard and simpleboard .....  just needs a little work on it looks  :(

Question on Powerboard - Is the latest version 1.0 ...
