Title: Problem with english...
Post by: nkod on June 01, 2007, 22:15:51
I have a problem with the english language... I have the website in elxis and its bridge connected with smf foum (login is bridge). Well The default language is greek and the problem that i have is that when i change the language from default(greek) to english it takes me in first page of forum instead of the first ENGLISH page of the website... What is going wrong? I have make pages that are appearing in english, but still when i change the language it takes me to first page of forum and not of my website.. why????

Sorry mate,

I tested your site in 6 different browsers, as each time I changed the language, I'd go to forum and site would be gone, never to come back. I think it is leaving some cookie that leads to the forum, but really have no clue where does it come from... The only way I managed to come back to your homepage was typing http://www.petshopkivotos.gr/index.php?mylang=greek

I think you messed up something in your content items languages. If you look at Admin>Content>All content items you can check if all your items have proper language set.

Ijust realised that the problem is more general... whatever language i pu it shoots me straight to the forum and the index is gone... So the problem is more general.. any ideas? Any code gone.. Is it something due to SMF forum bridging??

I have never used that bridge, but there is a component PowerBoard, based on Joomlaboard and Fireboard coming soon, and I would recomend you to use it instead of SMF, because it will be a COMPONENT, wich means no bridges, foum component fully integrated into Elxis.
