Greetings.
Thanks for the 2009 update.
I appreciate all your work.
I updated from 2008.1 to 2009 and all went well including the mysql updates.
However, when i tried to post a comment on an article, the security code is not accepted... though it is correctly typed.
The security code does not get rotated between failures. Is this as designed?
Ideas?
And in a related issue, once this security code entry fails, it wipes out the comment and it has to be retyped. Definitely a 'comment killer'.
Thanks again.

Can you plz give us a link to the site, you are facing the same problem?
As i see, you are not using Elxis CMS. ::)

Most probably the problem derives from wrong session save path setting in your PHP. Give us a link to your site.

Place "." where appropriate

I am sorry, I can not find a URL to a post allowing commentary. Can you give us a direct link?
Something else I noticed (1): You have set the "System menu" in a visible template position! This is totally wrong! The system menu should be published but not visible. That's why we have set it to the "hidden" template position by default.
Something else I noticed (2): For the "Biography index pages "you may check out the Appendix component (free download from EDC (http://www.elxis-downloads.com/com_downloads/directories-indexes/10.html)).

Thank-you for replying.
I had disabled commenting for all, but one, until I get commenting security fixed.
Here's (http://www.self-wrighting.net/SFW/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=443&Itemid=1) a direct link to the one active.

By "hidden" template position I assume you mean a "registered" or similar setting.
I auto sign-in so I hadn't noticed that.
Thanks for the heads up.
Let me know how comment security works for you.

OK, I'll check that component out.

This seems to have self fixed, as far as I can tell from the LAN.
Thanks for the replies.
