Exactly... I had the same feeling after playing with Open AI API a few months ago. I think you must invest a lot of time and effort to build some kind of app for which AI will make sense. And it will be usable for a very special case / site / client. Replying to generic questions could not be considered as an AI implementation. You need to make it perform specific tasks, for example improve site's SEO.
