Title: Open Shop
Post by: judelgado on November 11, 2015, 17:48:17
Hello guys,

Maybe is a silly question, I just installed OpenShop on my site, and it looks powerful, excellent options, and very simple interface.  My question here is how do I integrate OpenShop with my current site?

For example, previously I used minishop to add shopping options to my tours and packages, to add the cart option just opened the elxis import plug in button on my articles body.

Now If I already has a article and just want to add the "product" I created in OpenShop, how do I do that? or how do I link to a product I created in OpenShop?

    Thanks

Maybe is a silly question, I just installed OpenShop on my site, and it looks powerful, excellent options, and very simple interface.  My question here is how do I integrate OpenShop with my current site?

1) You can create a Menu Item pointing to "Open Shop" component. This menu item will open into your eshop's frontpage.
2) Alternatively, you can use the "Shop product" plugin. It allows you to easily display any product into your articles.

I suggest the 1st solution

Something for Open Shop and Discount coupons

I do not want to open a new topic.

I try to add a new Discount coupon for my Registered user . The Discount coupon created successfully but the page of administration panel don't return to the page of the list of Discount coupons(stays white).

If i turn back my browser i see that the Discount coupon was created successfully.

When i try to send the Discount coupon to recipient send an Error ! Internal Server Error and don't sent the coupon.

How can be solved this ?

Try that again and then go and see Elxis error log and tell me the last error message you see there.

Administration > Site > Logs > error.log (select it and click "View")

Hello,

Is there a way that I can disable the quantity and work only with modifiers?  So the final price depends only on what the customer chose.

For example a tour costs 100$ for the first person, second 200$ and third 250$ - If I book the tour for tree it will be 250$ - I can handle this perfectly with modifiers, but if the customer chose quantity x 3 - the price will be the amount I set up in product price.

Tried leaved the price in zero, but this causes an error (Price could not be zero)

    Any suggestion will be appreciated.

    Regards

You can a) set it as 3 different products (tour for 1 person, for 2 and for 3) or set the price to 0.01 EUR and set use the modifiers (be aware than the selection of modifiers is optional).

Thanks for your suggestion Datahell.

Is there a way that I can use a modifier that is not affected by quantity?

Following your suggestion I add 0.01$ to price, and when you select the price modifier, the price update accordingly, the problem is when you select more than 1, it will multiple the modifier amount per the quantity selected, I know this is the way it is supposed to be, but if at some point when I create a new option in Modifiers group, some sort of parameter that tells the system that this modifier will not be affected by quantity, this will be a great addition.

Thanks again

Hello, I added the product option in my article using the "Shop Product" plug in, it works good, the only problem I found is that quantity option does not show.  The modifiers for the product are fine, they show.

Is there a way I can fix this?

Regards

There is no quantity selector in the plugin. You add the product into cart and later from the cart page you can change the quantity to whatever you want.

You have exactly the same "problem" in the category, search, tags and manufacturer pages. This is how Open Shop designed. The quantity selector is only visible in product details and in cart pages. It is not an important factor in rest pages and this is why it was not added. The guest wants quickly to add a product in the cart and just that. Currently I have no free time to modify the plugin because I work on an other project.

Hello,

Still trying to make Open Shop for my purposes I found out that when I add 2 modifiers to the product price, the cart only saves the last I selected.  For example if the price $100, and you add $50 on extra01(color) and $50 on extra02(size) the total amount will be $200, when I select on product page works fine, but when I click add to cart, it only save the last modifier entry (e.g extra02).  Is it possible work the way I'm trying? Adding more than one price modifier.

Second question, I don't see where do I put the store main email address, may be I overlooked, but when I put an order, the customer receives the confirmation mail, but I don't receive the order.

   Thanks for you help.

1. I can't test it now and I dont remember it exactly but I do remember that some pages have limited functionality. For example you cannot select quantity from the category page. You need to go to cart page or product details page.

2. The order email is sent to your site's general contact email address, the one you set in Elxis configuration. You can test if your email settings are correct from elxis general settings page.

Hello, thanks for the answer, however even in the product detail page the modifiers are not working, only the last modifier you select applies when you click add to card.  As I explained, the modifiers work fine "on the fly" when you select them, but when you click add to card only the last modifier you selected is added to the cart.

Any suggestion?

Thanks

Title: Re: Open Shop - Printing Receipt/Invoice Date
Post by: perseas on January 15, 2016, 13:08:56
Open Shop/Orders/Product-Receipt/Invoice(Print)/ Date
In the orders table of Open Shop component, when done viewing the Receipt/Invoice for printing the popup window gets the current print date, not the date of execution of the order.
It may be modified in some way that Receipt/Invoice contains the date  of execution of the order?

Thanks
Title: Re: Open Shop
Post by: datahell on January 15, 2016, 18:19:28
There is a reason for that. The order details can be modified automatically (for example after payment) or manually by the admin. When you print (or get via email) the order you must see the status of the order on that particular moment. If all print pages had the same date you wouldn't know which is the actual status of the order. So the date is the date you printed the status of the order, not the date the order was made. For tracking the order you should use the Order ID, not the date.

Title: Modifiers problem fix
Post by: datahell on January 26, 2016, 20:42:56
The problem with the modifiers found and solved. I will release an updated version soon.

If you want to fix it earlier replace file components/com_shop/models/customer.model.php with the one inside the zip I attach.

Note: Module Shop Basket also needs a similar fix.
Title: Open Shop v1.6
Post by: datahell on January 27, 2016, 19:28:50
I just released Open Shop v1.6.

In this updated version 2 problems are fixed:
1. Adding products with multiple price modifiers in cart. Only 1 price modifier were added, now all price modifiers get added and it works perfect.
2. When Shop runs as a product catalogue it displayed prices in some areas. Now all prices are hidden.

Module Shop Basket also updated to version 1.3. If you use Open Shop v1.6+ then use Shop Basket v1.3+ module.

Download Open Shop component (https://www.elxis.net/edc/ecommerce/110.html)

Download Shop Basket module (https://www.elxis.net/edc/ecommerce/111.html)

Important note on update
Before you update Open Shop backup this file: components/com_shop/shopterms.txt in case you have modified it and you have added your shop's terms and conditions. The update will reset this file. After the update restore your own file.

How many tags appear in Open Shop's Tags cloud (on Frontpage) by default?

And how can i increase the number of the tags, if needed?
Title: Re: Open Shop

1. Up to 30.
2. File: components/com_shop/models/site.model.php at line: 332
Increase the number at the line: } elseif ($i >= 30) {

NOTE: Open Shop gets the tags from the last 80 products.

hello datahell!
I have a problem with the checkout page at open shop component:
The error:
"You tried to reach a secure page using an insecure protocol"
My site has already https certification installed, and works fine with the hotel reservation component.

Open this file: components/com_shop/views/customer.html.php
go to line 861
Change this:
$action = $elxis->makeURL('shop:order.html');
to this:
$action = $elxis->makeURL('shop:order.html', '', true);

I believe your problem will be solved.

Hello, regarding Shop basket extension.  Is there a possibility that the cart updates automatically instead of the nagging button "Refresh page to see changes" that the customer have to click in order to update the cart?

This will be a great addition to the extension.  Most of the time the customers just want an easy way to buy online, the less they have to interact the better.

Thanks for the help

I have https enabled for Public and administrative areas of the site.  Also my certificate is working properly.

Thanks for the reply.  I could fix the error message.

Another question/request:

Is the a way I can modify the "Add to cart" button in order to without the double click (one click to add the item to cart, and other to go to the cart summary window) go to the summary window directly.

I meant with just click on the button it adds the item to cart and immediately redirects to the cart summary window.

Thanks, any suggestion will be appreciated.
