After downloading all Elxis 2008, and completing the Installation process "succesfully" (as it said at the end),
nevertheless, something hinders even to see our Frontpage !
=> The main url is curiously blocked, with en Error message : 403 "Forbidden : You don't have permission to access this file on this server" !!!
>>> Please, URGENT Help !
(We gave many Hours to complete the Installation, even overnight !)

Check in the root folder of Elxis if the index.php file and the configuration.php files exist. Check also their permissions, should be 644 and 666.

- File index.php had been, curiously, ommitted, indeed,
(May be, because we uploaded ELXIS unzipped, folder by folder, and a few files, out of any folder, had not been uploaded).
So we've just restored it.
File configuration.php existed.
- Permissions were checked to 666.
=> But, now, it blocks with another error-message :
"Warning: require_once(/includes/Core/loader.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream:
No such file or directory in /home/www/a86cb97deebffd5af2cbaf5b2558384e/web/index.php on line 33
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/includes/Core/loader.php' (include_path='.:/opt/php/lib/php') in /home/www/a86cb97deebffd5af2cbaf5b2558384e/web/index.php on line 33"
(By the way, we checked the permissionsn of file "includes/Core/loader.php" are set to 777).
=> Please, Help (we're exhausted !)....

If you have spent more that 3 minutes on installation, you must be doing something wrong.... If you wish, send me your FTP params via PM, and I will install Elxis for you.

Thank you all, at Elxis, and congratulations for your prompt readiness to provide practical help asap !
Finally, we succeeded Elxis' installation,
- by re-starting again from scratch, and following carefully (and critically : double-checking every step) all info given at : "https://www.elxis.org/guides/general-guides/proper-elxis-installation.html".
Some of the problems might have been provoked, perhaps, also by interferences of older files, which remained at the root from a previous installation of another software that we had done in the past. That's why we emptied completelly the root, before re-starting afresh with Elxis exclusively.
But it's true that a better effort to clarify some of those instructions (also for newbies, or people who discover Elxis : f.ex. explain in which Folder are located the Files cited, or the various possible ways people can accomplish an advised action, if necessary, etc) , could save human time in future.
