Title: Serbian language
Post by: Ivan Trebješanin on February 03, 2007, 20:49:34
Hi everyone, I've finished translation for serbian cyrillic... but, something is wrong!!! I get a blank page when I apply it! I suppose it has something to do with file encoding... HELP!!!!

PS I encoded with utf-8 with no BOM. I used EditPad pro.

Gemini language file is wrong.
This is why you get the error message. Gemini file is very important in elxis.
Complete gemini translation and it will be OK.  ;)

You had a small problem that I corrected. A semicolon (;) was missing at the end of a line.

Serbian language published at elxis.org website.
You will find it here:

https://www.elxis.org/index.php?option=com_mtree&task=viewlink&link_id=71&Itemid=138

Thank you very much for your translation.

I just tought, is there a way to update my Serbian cyrillic translation as I've found few typing mistakes while I was preparing latin version? I, regretfully, do it all alone.

PS
For my Serbian fellas: Hey, 51 downloads and not a single helping hand? ???

Hi,
It's me again... you know the saying: "squeeky wheel gets the grease "... Just wanna ask you again to update that serbian (cyrillic) translation as I see that people are actually downloading it. I've had double comma in welcome message in that first translation... so shamefull  :-[ .

If I should send updated version, please gimme a note.

Ok, send me the updated one.

For general information:
It is not very easy for us to change files. So please check your files before sending them to Elxis.org. For each file we follow a specific procedure which includes uploading the file to 3 different places in 2 servers and the generation of a unique fingerprint for that file. If you change the files this fingerprint also changes, the file must be uploaded again, the listing to be edited, etc.

Sorry, didn't know that...  :(
Anyway, I was intending to send you serbian admin lang in a couple of days. Concerning the circumstances, it would be better for me to finish my Serbian admin lang, and then send you both admin and site (cyrillic).

PS
One thing is still bothering me... I will complete Serbian latin admin lang too, but I wonder if there is any use of that (locale problem).

I work for Elxis locales these days and as I see that there is no locale for serbian latin language (most probably because this language is inofficial). So for Serbian the situation is as follows:

language name: serbian
locale: sr_CS.utf8 (tested and works fine)
notes: Serbian Cyrillic (official)

The locale for the serbian latin will be en_US (english). The name will be announced soon (a full list with the proper naming will be published soon).
