Title: xml.part could not be saved
Post by: xmanhattan on March 09, 2015, 11:10:03
Hello all,

I have been receiving an error window when trying to download an sql backup.  I used both firefox and chrome and continue to receive the error.

An error window pops up and displays:
Quote
C:\Users\pab\AppData\Local\Temp\tkMo83xe.xml.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

Try again later, or contact the server administrator.

The only way that I can backup my sql is by saving it to the server and then clicking on the saved backup which then downloads normally.

As I have my cache set to standard, I thought that might have something to do with it but when I turn cache off through the global configuration the problem still happens.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello @xmanhattan,
You should take under consideration the suggestions as quoted to the link [1] below.
I believe that you use the same extension for both of two browsers and it causes this issue.

Hello Webgift,

Unfortunately that is not the case.  I have put in a bug report to mozilla.

I should have mentioned that this also happens on my localhost testing as well.
I have tried to analyze the problem but do not understand where it starts.

Hello @xmanhattan,
I don't know if you have found a solution for that. We have to check this out thoroughly in case that this issue is occurred by Elxis.
Unfortunately i am almost sure that it's not.

Hi Webgift,

I believe that it has something to do with either the browser or Windows.  I do not think that it is a problem with either Elxis or with the server.

I have not received any response from Mozilla regarding the submission so I guess that I will have to wait or until I stumble upon an answer from somewhere.

Thanks and regards
