Post by: spyrou on March 11, 2011, 00:02:00
Hi Iam newbie to Elxis Cms and I am trying to translate contents of a site. As I have saw in the forum there is a bot with name "Translate" that can handling my issue. Unfortunately I can not find it in "site bots" section. My question is if this belong to the latest Elxis version that I have downloaded today or something has change and I cannot inform it. Please give me clearly instructions about how to! Also I have seen in some Elxis sites a drop down menu with Google page Translator. Were can I find this function? Thanks a lot for your support.

This is not related to Elxis, it's a Google tool. More info here: http://translate.google.com/translate_tools

Create a module, and paste the code in that module. Publish the module in the position you want.

At the present Forum we provide help and support only for Elxis CMS

So, if you have an Elxis site version 2009.2 then you can have this function on all content items, by publishing the translate bot and selecting into parameters to show the bot.

Dear spyrou

I saw that you are new to Elxis and please don't misunderstand me that i said this, which it  had to do only because you mentioned how you do this on drupal. In any case i gave you also the answer how to enable translate bot functionality.

Oops TinyMCE editor deforms the right snippet code in the "html" session. So the google translation snippet doesn't work. Why? The only thing Ι can do is to working without wysiwyg editor from global settings but this is not correct. How can I fix this issue? Any idea please?  ???

At least I can understand why I cannot find "Translate" bot in the Site Bots section!!! When selecting for the first time this option in 2009.2 version 25 bots appearing in the list. 20 in the first page. When Iam pressing the next button to go from the first page to the second page everything working properly but when second page loading 7 "Search" bots appearing like someone gave a filter with "search" word the "start" and "previous" buttons are not functional any more, they are disabled and the second page appearing like first page with 7 bots. The first 20 bots disappeared!!! After all Iam trying to refresh page but nothing could happened!!! Strange! Is this a bug maybe? Iam trying on this issue in three browsers with MAMP virtual localhost(Firefox, Chrome and Safari) with PHP 5.3.2 engine.  I have test it also with PHP 5.2.13 When you abandon a browser or logout from admin section and login from the beginning everything working properly again... Also I can find at all "TinyMCE Settings" under bots. Any help?

1. Through the Administration panel, go to Bots > Site Bots From the Type column use the Filter Type and select: Editors
2. Unpublish TinyMCE WYSIWYG Editor and publish No WYSIWYG Editor

Go to your module, paste the code and save it. After that, return to step 2 and do the opposite.
