Title: 1st page Counter showing hits, (not visitors) : How can it be done with Elxis ?

How can Elxis have, at its 1st page, a counter showing the number of hits,
(instead of only the number of visitors) ?

Currently, we have at 1st page only a number of visitors, (fex. some tens of thousands),
while, in fact, the number of hits at our website is much larger (fex. more than 600.000).
The difference is enormous.

Many other websites show their number of hits, and we'd like to do the same.

=> How can it be done ?

Twenty (20) Days without any answer, even for something apparently as easy as that ?...

What's going on with Elxis ?
Is it really unable to do that ?

You can enable statistics in global configuration, and publish statistics module in frontend to display them.

One solution is to integrate a 3rd party script, into a custom Elxis module, and show the hits for your site. There are many out there, that you can use. Currently, there is no such component (as far as i know) for Elxis.

...and nothing disconcerting is going on, with Elxis :)

As it was already said (see above), we did that. But the visible Counter shows only the number of "Visitors", and not the number of "Hits".

The difference is enormous....

=> Once again : Isn't there any possibility for Elxis' Counter to show in public the number of "Hits" ?

i thing you want to see in frontpage, what you see in administrator area in menu SITE-STATISTICS-Page Impression Statistics?

Just as guys told you, it is easy to do. You can create module or use simple html. Also, you can create simple javascript counter. This was first result on google: http://www.comptechdoc.org/independent/web/cgi/javamanual/javaihit.html
