Title: Installing with Oracle?
Post by: luckyWorld on March 12, 2007, 16:19:04
Havo someone tried to install Elxis with Oracle?

I'm tring to install this CMS using PHP 5.0.3 and one Oracle server 9.2.0, but I'm gettimg some problems that I could'nt solve yet.

The main is when the install ask for the Site Name. The installation is not completed because some problems with the format date field are occuring. Please, check the message below:

SQL=ORA-01830: date format picture ends before converting entire input string

Have some additional configuration to do in the ADO drivers or includes to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance

Elxis has been slightly tested with Oracle but it is not fully Oracle compatible. Installation procedure must be modified for Oracle. If you wish you can "play" with it and try to fix it. Otherway use MySQL or Postgre.  Oracle and msSQL are databases that we are interesting in.

For Oracle you should select the oci8 driver.
