it is possible rename the directory name where elxis was installed ? without lost of configs ?

Yes you can do this.
You will only have after this to modify configuration.php file (absolute paths and urls).
You will also have to modify (if any) images paths (if they are using full paths/urls) already inserted in articles.
Example:
old installation: /home/myname/public_html/elxis
new installation: /home/myname/public_html/elxis2


old image: http://www.mydomain/elxis/images/image.jpg
new image: http://www.mydomain/elxis2/images/image.jpg

If images are using relative paths you dont need to change them.

To complement datahell, in order to change the paths, you have to modify the database records.

thanks. yes when i rename the title sections dissapers. i think i would need to delete them and  add again. 

other question.  the templates have some titles. that are in english.

example

polls. who is online, popular news.  i want to change them to spanish but was is the template that need to be modified?

since i dont find it.

other question. the powered by. should be left elxis. or can be changed ? if can be changed where in what template the change take place ?

Polls, Who is online, Popular news etc are modules. Through the administration panel, navigate to Modules > Site Modules and edit the title of the module you are interested in.

You can remove the "powered by ..."  in the footer, but it's not polite.

No, it's ok you can remove the Elxis copyright.

But you can't replace the original copyright with something like "created by MY super cms".
