Title: Happy birthday Elxis!

Before exactly one year (ehm... and one day... :-) ) Elxis was published online for the first time! October 21, 2006 was the date that Elxis 2006.3 spread it's wings all over the world. In this 1 year Elxis had 15.000 downloads but the most important is that people from all over the world joined our forces and Elxis community is now a large company of friends.

In the behalf of Elxis Team and the supporting company GO UP Inc, I would like to thank all of you that helped and supported the project and I would also like to thank all the others that honored us by simply downloading and using Elxis.

For all of you we have a new gift very soon. Elxis 2008, the Elxis next generation, is almost ready and soon will be available for download and use.

Thank you all, happy birthday Elxis!

One year now im using Elxis CMS for big and small projects, and i have never thought of using something else!

Its a swiss knife for me  :D

Due to this day here is a small preview of the new Elxis 2008 frontend (template is under development - Advanced design, SEO optimized, RTL compatible, table-less, compatible with all modern browsers).

In fact we celebrate the first year of online existance of Elxis. Elxis was really borned by the end of December 2005 and the first lines of code were written in January 2006. That is why Elxis is based (I think we owe to say this right now) on the holiday version of Mambo 4.5.3h enriched with mine administration language system (I had made mambo multi-lingual since 2005 while joomla still lacks of multi-lingual backend...). So, we must say thanks to all the people that have also worked for mambo in the past.  Of course October 21, 2006 is the most important date in Elxis history and this date symbolizes a great decision that we took these days about Elxis's future. So, to day (ehm... yesterday...  :D ) is a day to remember!

Ok, I also drink a glass of Whiskey, so cheers!  ;D

"Time passes fast" on the front page of www.elxis.org says enough of how we think and what we've been through during the last couple of years.

We thank you all for using Elxis and supporting us.

We thank you because you took a brave decision.

You played against the odds and you won.

You used a system that was new and unknown. You trusted Elxis.

Now, you all know that we are writing history here.

We hope that future, with your help, will be even better for all of you and us.

Now back to writing documentation for Elxis 2008...

happy birthday even from me. i can say that it is the first time an one year old has grown so much that looks as mature as an adult.
Great work even the frontend that i liked too much because of its simplicity and terra colours used.
