Elxis uses captcha images to prevent remote flood attacks and web robots/spiders from submiting forms. It was proven that some users had difficulties to read captcha images so we added a word spelling feature next to the captcha images. Now users can listen captcha image characters by clicking a speaker icon. We hope this new feature will help visibly challenged people.
Current Elxis version: Elxis 2006.2 [Medusa] rev 1039

Hello John,
This is a great addition to Elxis, I would like to know if this feature is available also in the communication forms of the Contacts Component.
As far as I saw in a demo version, the image was there but the button for the audio wasn't.
Thanks

Welcome George!
Sound in captcha images added just yesterday in our SVN system. Elxis installations have not yet updated to latest version. Captcha images (all enabled with sound) are in registration form, in password reminder form and in contacts form. It is very easy for third party developers to implement this feature in their extensions. To add captcha support you just include one file! That simple...

Hello, yes this is very nice and usefull feature, but I dont want security check at all, you may think that is stupid, acctually, I just want to speed up submiting process, nothing else.
I noticed that many people gived up from sending mail after security torture.
I try to found how to disable security, but I didnt find anything that works.
Question is, where I may disable, or where I may delete in the code of contact component,
feature for security check?
I dont want at all any of this security items for sending e-mail from mail form.
Thank you

You can anytime change this setting via the global settings.
Go to Global Configuration -> Site tab.
Set "Use security images" to No.
That's it!
