Title: Strange registration
Post by: benone on February 22, 2010, 14:50:42
Hi people,

Yesterday I had some user who registered at my website. The problem is that I have not published any login module to make anyone register. How could this happen? Any suggestions? Thanks.

3 questions :

1. Have you enable Elxis Defender with all of Mysql Exceptions etc?
2. The users that have been created have administrator permissions ?
3. Have you create another except your ,  user that has the opportunity to create users on Elxis Platform?

User login is always open regardless if you show the login module or not.
Users registration is also open if you allow user registration and regardless if you show the register module/link or not.
Go to elxis global configuration and disable user registration if you don't want users to register in your site.

Yes , it's really that we are an "open database" like power of knowledge here.

As you can see on ECD i have inspired from that by creating this logo : downloads/elxis-logos/176.html ;)
