Hi,
i am facing a problem while installing elxis 2009.2 in step 3 (FTP Access). Although all parameters are correct i get the following message in "Check FTP settings":
*** Αποτυχία ***
Επιτυχής σύνδεση στο FTP αλλά ο δοθέν κατάλογος του Elxis δεν υπάρχει. Ελέγξτε την τιμή της Διαδρομής FTP.
I am absolutely sure that the path is correct, ftp access is enabled and tmpconfig.php is writeable.
I couldn't find a solution so, i've even uninstalled and reinstalled elxis again but......nothing!
Can anyone help please?

First of all: If you have suphp or suexec then you do not need to enable FTP. Check that.
The FTP path is the relative path from your FTP root to the folder Elxis CMS is installed without trailing slash.
Consider Elxis www folder is this one:
/folder1/folder2/folder3/www
Now find out in which directory you get when you login to your FTP account.
Normally this is on folder above the www folder.
So you will be inside "folder3".
And which is the relative path from our FTP root folder to the elxis www folder?
Easy, it is: /www (note the leading slashing and the absent of the trailing slash).
If you had Elxis inside a sub-folder (/folder1/folder2/folder3/www/folder4) then your FTP path would be: /www/folder4
During install Elxis has an AJAX-powered "check" settings link next to the FTP. Click that to make sure your FTP settings are correct before proceeding more. If you are unsure or can not find it set FTP to NO.

I' ve solved the problem with the ftp path (it was a stupid mistake on the ftp account on the server after all :)).
Then i proceed to step 4 and i get:
Εμφανίστηκε τουλάχιστον ένα γενικό σφάλμα. Δεν μπορείτε να συνεχίσετε. Ακολουθούν τα μηνύματα σφάλματος από τον εγκαταστάτη του Elxis:
• Δεν στάθηκε δυνατή η εγγραφή στο προσωρινό αρχείο ρυθμίσεων (installation/tmpconfig.php)
although in step 3 it sais that tmpconfig.php is writeable.
Note: Throughout the installation so far i've got NO warnings (everything is green).

ok i just saw this ( https://forum.elxis.org/index.php?topic=4180.0 ) which is the same problem.
And yes i have Windows Server and Plesk! My intention is to install elxis and then get the IOS eShop.
What do i do??? Do i need to change the server? Is there a soloution?

Do you get through the FTP settings step? If yes, then the Elxis installer is able to write on installation/tmpconfig.php file and you should not get any other message like that in the next steps.
If this step fails then the only thing I can think of is that there is something wrong related to the windows environment (paths, permissions, etc). Although there are a lot of people that have Elxis installed under windows (including my self). In that case I have to test installing Elxis by myself on your server to find out what cause this problem.

- your site's url
- ftp server, ftp username, ftp password
- database host, database username, database password

Yes i get through the FTP settings step ("Success" after the check).
I have checked all the permissions and they seem ok.
I will send you a pm with all the info tomorrow morning.
