Title: New Features of e-Forum
Post by: de-active on January 25, 2010, 14:34:57
I just wanted to start this thread in relation to the new version of e-Forum to be released by the end of February. The purpose is to ask some questions relating to it and then also maybe suggest some features, which may already be present but I don't haven't used eForum before.

So my first question would be, which I assume, it is possible and is the default setting:

Question: Is there a separate login module or system for e-Forum that is separate to Elxis or is there on log inout which works for all modules and components of Elxis. Hope the question is clear.

Thanks in advance. More features questions coming up....

eforum is an elxis native component and  this means-> full integration >full compatibility > elxis users+login-logout system are actually the same, one for all native components

I just wanted to know how the development of e-forum was going? Will it be completed by the end of the month? I can't see much updates on the wiki or anywhere else, except that it's 40% completed (  ;D ). It would be good for us to give our feedback.

I was interested in one feature, amongst many, is it flexible enough for the administrator to define their own theme or points/ranking system. You know some forums have points or stages if you make certain number of posts or the quality of your posts etc like registered/member/newbie/trusted/professional etc can this be defined? Not sure I was clear enough...

look at the right side-bar...

As it says there: "Estimated finish date: February 28, 2010"  ... 40% completed!
