I have a substantial number of news articles displayed on my front page, several pages deep.
At the bottom of the front page there are links to the other pages; a 'Next", "Previous", "1 2 3 ..." etc.
However, recently I noticed that regardless of which of these links is pressed, the first page is always displayed, never the second, or third, etc.
Nothing that I do affects this.
Any ideas on how to track down and solve this issue?
Thanks.

There is problem with your menus. Most probably the problem is caused there. Inspect them carefully. If a section/category does not have a menu item create it. For example check the menu item to the forum.

OK.
That makes sense.
Recently I changed some of the permissions for some menu items. That will be a good place to start.
I'll post my findings here.
-
OK.
I have now had time to check all Sections and all Categories for menu references... many did not have one, but they all do now, though some are published, while others are not.
However, there is no change to the main page, It always shows the first page and never 2,3,4.... no matter what method I use to try and advance it.
I have also noticed one other thing that may, (or may not), be a clue, or just evidence of another problem;
In the backend, logged in as super admin and looking at content items, when I try to change the Permissions, the pop-up window comes up and I can select the full range, but when I click on "save" nothing happens... the graphic changes to reflect that I have pushed the button, but the pop-up window just sits that, (only cancel will work), and the permissions remain unchanged.
Now I can change the permissions easily enough simply by going into the article itself, but not from the window listing all content items by title.
I've wracked my brains on this one, but I believe it to be beyond my understanding of Elxis, PHP, etc...
Any insight or suggestions will be appreciated.

Oh yes, now I know why I didn't turn on SEO Pro, when I do, all the links fail in the menu.
-
OK.
I did manage to get this working after a lot of screwing around with the settings.
Eventually, I had to delete a menu item and disable all the caching. :D
SEO Pro however, still will not work without disabling all menu links. :(

It depends on how you have entered the menu items. If you have entered them as of type link-url they will never be converted to seo pro ones.
