Title: Chinese language question
Post by: xmanhattan on May 11, 2009, 19:17:09
I may have a client interested in using Elxis and searched through the forum and saw the following information.
https://forum.elxis.org/index.php?topic=1375.0 (https://forum.elxis.org/index.php?topic=1375.0)

When I opened the admin on my 2008.1 and 2009.0 test setups, I did not find the Chinese language listed.

Does this mean that Elxis will accept Chinese content but not provide frontend and backend menus?

Short answer is yes. You can enter content in any language you want, thanks to utf-8 support. But frontend and backend menus will be in some other (translated) laguage from the above list, english for example. If you want full chinese support, you must translate frontend and/or backend languages.

You may find here english language, so you can translate it to chinese http://www.elxis-downloads.com/com_downloads/languages/
