Title: Problem with a menu item

Hi all,

I can't create a new menu item for advance search. The item doesn't exist at all !

Any ideas ?

I'm not sure I understand the question, but I'll try to answer: in administration go to menus, select some menu and click new. You will get a table of types and you should select "Component". Then from the list of components select "Search". That's all.

In the table of types, there is not the "Component" option...  That's why I can't create a menu item for a component...

??? Ι don't know why it's happening.

Can you "print screen" the page of selection the menu item types ?

Unfortunately i can't help you i notice that in your admin area misses another choice like "Link - Component Item" whatever where is the "component" word.

I will try to answer your questions!

When you installed Elxis, something folder "components" seems that missing or have corrupted files in component "Menu" (elxis_path \ administrator \ components \ com_menus \*components*). If it's not or corrupted, you can not create a menu item from the component! Go to FTP and inspect if it exists!

If I am right, copy the folder "components" from the  install package to folder "com_menu"
