Title: TRANSLATION: what files do I need to translate for a new language-set
Post by: kyron on January 30, 2007, 20:01:55
Hello everybody,

in order to get a complete set of language-files for Germany I had a look around ELXIS
to figure out what files have to be translated and found the following:

05 files in ..\elxis\language\
35 files in ..\elxis\administrator\language\
03 files in ..\elxis\installation\language\
01 files in ..\elxis\includes\phpmailer\
01 files in ..\elxis\administrator\tools\chmod\language\
01 files in ..\elxis\administrator\tools\clean_cache\language\
01 files in ..\elxis\administrator\tools\defender\language\
01 files in ..\elxis\administrator\tools\empty_temporary\language\
01 files in ..\elxis\administrator\tools\fix_language\language\
01 files in ..\elxis\administrator\tools\fix_pg_sequences\language\
01 files in ..\elxis\administrator\tools\floodblocker\language\
01 files in ..\elxis\administrator\tools\organizer\language\
01 files in ..\elxis\administrator\tools\registration\language\
98 files in ..\elxis\help\ *

* NOTE: there is no auto-language switching (yet)
*       in Elxis for the..\elxis\help\ files as far as I can see

If you are going to translate ELXIS into your favourite language
this list may help you and save some time.

regards

kyron

Kyron, kdw has already made a lot of work for German language in Backend, you can contact him to co-ordinate your job.

Thank you all for your efforts!

I would like to add my 2 cents, just in case they wil be usefull.

On the official site, there is an article describing the files needed to be translated to a new native language.

The article is named "Translation Guidelines" and can be found at:
https://www.elxis.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=48&Itemid=94

Keep up the good work!
