hello @all
i've made german translation for the mod_downloads. i've place the two files "german.php" and "german.pref.php" into the languages folder of the mod on the server, but the german language is mixed with enlish language. i've reset the browser cache and using differend browsers, but it's allways the same. the main language for the page is set to german. how can i solve the problem?
thanks in advance

What is mod_downloads? Maybe you mean com_downloads? If so, have you translated everything? Have you published german for frontend language in elxis administration area?
-
hello ivan
yes i mean com_downloads. i've translated the two files in the language folder of the component. the names of the files i've told in my first post. i've also setup german language for the front and packpage in the global configuration. any idea?
thanks in advance

In your language files you have not translated some variables like these:
public $SEARCHD = 'Enter a keyword to search downloads (minimum length 3 characters).';
public $SERVFILSIZ = "Serving %s files.";
check your files ;)

@ speck and ivan
i didn't fogott anything to translate. i post the two files, that you can see what i've done. is it possible, that i have to translate some other files? i don't know why it doesn't work.

Hi, I checked translations and found that they were ANSI encoded. I saved them as UTF-8 without BOM and think they will work fine now. Try and tell me.

hi ivan
crazy thing, because theres a little more german language in the backend then before, but round about 65% is still in english. Also in the frontend you will find "Editors Pick". It's also translated in the german file. i'm a bit frustrated.

I just tested your translations and Editor's Pick is saying this: "Editor's Auswahl". Everything works fine for me.
EDIT: I noticed that you don't use SEOpro. Try to enable it after renaming htaccess.txt to .htaccess and see if it is working.

I've checked speedy the language file of ivan...
works right

hello
i've made a new, fresh installation of elxis with seopro enabled. i've also changed the htaccess.txt to .htaccess before the installation. theres no changing in the language problem. it's still a mixture of german and english. i don't know what's happend. can it by a server issue?

There are some strange things going on there. Let me try to install the whole Elxis from the beginning, if you want to. I will need FTP access, so you can send it in PM.

Actually, I just installed it as usually. There is nothing more to say then found here: http://wiki.elxis.org/wiki/Elxis_Installation_Guide
I've noticed that server is not quite good and I saw some issues in backend. I also believe you will have problems with it.

German language added on IOS Downloads v1.3 (http://www.elxis-downloads.com/downloads/download-systems/116.html).
