Title: burger menu
Post by: bully on October 13, 2019, 11:48:34
I am having quite a headache already, attempting to do so.
as from a certain screen resolution, the horizontal menu turns display: none.
This is basically fine, but I need a menu, shrunk down to a "burger" and once is clicked, it does open
What i did:
- adding my burger image into the .elx_menu class as bg image, resizing ... all about ok, so that only the burger appears on the desired space
- sized the .elx_menu class to just fit the burger
* so far is all fine, below the problems- yep, they are my logic
To get now the menu,:
width: auto;
height: auto:
...
I tried that with .elx_menu :active   and also with hoover.
But that all didn't push the actual content down, as I did plan, and also, the menu did remain ... it should actually resize to the burger, after clicking something or leaving. And the content - pushed below, should move up, back in it's old place.

Any out there, who know, what where is wrong or to do that correctly?

I can't help you because you need detailed instructions but I have no detailed information and such menus have complex css. However this might help you understand the problem: If the HTML elxis default menu module (mod_menu) generates is not what you need then you must change the html and to do so you must develop your own menu module. Some menus also need special javascript.

ok, thx.
I will change the flex template in this case to eria template. I know, there is a burger build-in.
Yep, it looks like a complex matter

I have managed now with the Eria template. Works well.  --- beer deserved

Still needed a few start-overs, as I during rebuild process somehow killed the burger
