Hi,
I am trying to set up a gallery with the lightview. It works great everywhere but not in IE. IE9 I tried. The pictures just open in a new page, no navigation or anything. Anybody seen this before?
Thanks.

IOS Gallery component use 2 different display methods. Gallerific (jQuery) and Lightwindow (prototype). The issue that you have already mentioned it may be caused by a javascript conflict errors or IE9 doesn't support the certain technology any more. Can you please provide us a live url?
In any other case : You can use either the Gallerific display method or you can add a new one display method by editing the source code of the IOS Gallery component.

I'm running FF on linux (Mint 11) without any problems. The gallery works great for me.

Thanks, FF worked fine wherever I tried. It's IE that is causing problems.

You use an outdated version of Lightview Javascript Language. As i can see it's 2.4.0.4 version. IE9 issue fixed (as it seems) on version 3.1.0. So you need to update it. The current version is 3.1.6 : Download. It's totally recommended the update of this script must be done by an advanced user.

You got me on that one. I was trying to just replace the js and the css file but that doesn't do it. I never had the spinners and excanvas files before, I guess that's why. Do I need to change somewhere in the component the way it calls the js file and keep the folder system as I downloaded it? Has anybody done this update yet? Bit lost but I keep trying. In case I figure it out I'll post it here just in case somebody else would be facing this.

OK, I tried to change the paths to lightview in the gallery.php. The result is that in FF the pictures come up zoomed out in a grey frame but no controls. In Safari they open in a new window like the original problem in IE. Any ideas?

OK, I managed to call the new scripts, I had to delete the old ones, now the pictures come up in a nice frame but no navigation or description. I guess the two should be combined somehow. Would anybody know how?

Ok! You should read now the documentation of LightView in case of displaying a Gallery. In this way you will give the image navigation feature to visitors.

OK, I managed the title, description and close functions but I still don't get the navigation.  I have this for controls: controls: { type: 'relative', slider: { items: 5 }, close: 'relative' }, not sure what else I should change.
