There is no fault with Elxis' captcha mechanism... Since a couple of months, it is possible for bots to bypass captcha protection. Until a new protection mechanism is developed, there is nothing left to do, but hunt down bots and delete them from your site. Have in mind though that despite there capability to register to your site, very few can activate their account (reply to the activation mail, as their e-mail accounts simply do not exist... So they can do no damage, but spoil your site's image (their strange names appear as new registered user)...
