about smf bridge

i have download elxis stable from website
and smf from website too
and i took http://www.elxis.org/index.php?option=com_mtree&task=viewlink&link_id=43&Itemid=138 too

I have never used that component, but from your post I think that you have problem with file permissions, or with server paths...

Question: have you enabled FTP in Admin->Global configuration?

Do you have component Bridge installed?
Do you have Bridge registry up to date?
Have you enabled Bridge syste and set the registration module?
Have you installed SMF bridge?
