Title: IOS Rentals demo

IOS Rentals is a new IOS Reservations extension that allows you to provide rent-a-car booking services. IOS Rentals also supports bookings for motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, Buggies, bicycles and yachts/boats. Since today the demo site is available and you can see it live.

IOS Rentals dashboard/control panel (http://iosr4.isopensource2.com/inner.php/reservations/rentals/cpanel/)
You will find access details to login as administrator or rental company here (http://iosr4.isopensource2.com/information/access-details.html).

To test the REST API booking form go to demo site frontpage (http://iosr4.isopensource2.com/) and perform a search for a vehicle (top "blue" form).

Comments positive/negative are welcome.

Note: You cannot yet buy IOS Rentals. It will be available for online purchase in about 10-15 days.

Hi,

What does this sentence mean?

"IOS Rentals has no front-end interface. It gets connected to any remote site via a secure XML/JSON API connection"

Does it mean that you can have a search box for booking every vehicle of every company from wordpress, for instance? Actually IOSR Hotels only allow API for searching in a certain hotel... is then a different way of working?

You put one of the provided plugins on any third party site(s) and the plugin gets connected to the site with IOS Rentals/IOS AERO. IOSR Hotels has a similar functionality too.

IOS Rentals/IOS AERO: Each plugin's integration is for a single company. This means that you can book the vehicles/appointments (any number) of that specific company. For a second company you have to put the plugin in an other page and so on. In contrast to IOS Rentals, IOS AERO has frontend public interface and so it can accept bookings from the same site too without APIs integration. IOSR Hotels works for any hotel regardless the ownership of the hotel. Note that IOSR Hotels will become deprecated by the end of 2019. Summary:

So... IOS AERO is for hotel bookings too? Or you mean there will not be hotel software anymore?

As far as i can see IOSR Hotels v3.0 is going to be fully redesigned.

That is what Isopensource website says but I´m afraid of the "deprecated" word without further information...

Let´s see if Ioannis can, please, clarify...

This software can not be deprecated without any replacement. Ioannis will
update us once he is available!

IOSR Hotels 2.x is outdated software and I will stop selling it by the end of this year. It would be nice to had ready IOSR Hotels v3.x by then and provide an update but I had not enough time to complete the development. This does not mean that you will not have support. I provide free support for any software free or commercial I have ever developed. What I will do is to remove it from my shop. Just this.
