Interesting as the X Y problem may be, problems should lead to intelligent questions as that is also how people determine whether others are intelligent or not.

The real answer is whether or not we have taken the time to think about the actual problem.
“If I had an hour to solve a problem I'd spend 55 minutes thinking about the problem and 5 minutes thinking about solutions.” ― Albert Einstein

As we see today many will jump to buy a mobile phone with gazillions of mega pixel cameras, one should also consider that the human eye can really only see about 7 million colors or 7 mp.

You should say that to some of my colleagues from work, who search for the best phone with 8 processors etc, but technologically they live in stone age.

I think that this link should be kept as a reference here as it's useful in to so many
cases!

I thought for a while (reading this article) that there is a XYZ problem as well! :D
People think that a combination of YZ solution will give X solution for sure!
