Hi guys,
I had installed Chloe template on my site and so far it works and looks good. The problem I have is with the slider, images get stretched to cover side to side on larger screens, is small screens look good. Is there a way that I can box the images on the slider? Am I missing something here? The images I'm using are more than 2000 px wide, still on large screens the image is not uniform.

The slider has been designed as a full width page slider. Personally I have 1920 x 1200 screen resolution and it is been displayed fine. The trick here is to pick the right images. The default images are 1400X406 and are fine, at least for me.
Although I dont recommend it, you can make slider smaller by css. The slider has an outer wrapper div element with id "chloe_slider".
<div id="chloe_slider">
....
</div>
You can do something like that:
#chloe_slider { margin:0 auto; max-width:1200px; }

I don't know if this has something to do with the template or is a bug, but I added Mini Shop with Mini Basket, both worked fine with the previous template, but now the problem I'm facing is when I add a product to the cart, it works fine, but if I try to add another product or item, the cart deletes the previous added product and update to my latest added product. For example, I added 1 red shirt for $50, and then 1 blue shirt, the carts only keeps the latest added item.
Any help will be appreciated.

Try switching temporarily to another template. Do you face the same problem?

I know that this is quite unrelated with the posts above, but I did not want to open a new topic and "pollute" the forum.
In "Chloe", the file "fa.png" is missing; I had to google and download the image from another source.

@judelgado: Are you sure this issue is related to the template? If you switch the template it works fine and if you use Chloe it doesn't? Template Chloe doesn't use sessions or cookies, so I think you must have come to a wrong conclusion.
@newspaperman: Template Chloe doesn't have all the flags of the world but only around 40. Download any missing flag you need from the internet (as you did already).

No, no, no, no, it is not a problem of the template or the mini shop.
The "Pax": is a price modifier that is applied on the whole quantity, you can not pick both options! It is like saying I want "2 yellow t-shirts". You can not say "I want 1 yellow and 1 red t-shirt". If you want to do that then you must set yellow and red t-shirts are separate products.
BTW: Open Shop, a full featured, free, shopping cart component for Elxis 4.x is under development.

Thanks again Datahell, shopping cart will be a great addition to the actual system, I'll wait for it.
Back to the theme, here we're working to have everything ready. One thing that is very annoying is that anytime you click to check a price (in IOSR) or add an item to the mini cart, the page goes to top instead of stay where I clicked. Is possible to add and anchor or something that returns where the user clicked? Instead of start from top and look for where I clicked.

Hi guys,
Working with the theme I had to add the mini cart option, while I wait the shopping cart be released.
A big issue is that the side bars disappears in mobile version, so when you add a item to the shopping cart, you actually don;t know what happened in mobile version. Is there a way I can add the side bar at the bottom of the page? This way users will be able to check out.

In template Chloe the side bar in low screen resolutions (mobile phones) doesn't hide. It goes below the main content and it is visible.

Go to Elxis configuration and disable the mobile version. Chloe is responsive, it doesn't need that option.
Settings > General > Mobile version = No

Hi guys, for some reason the top login option stop working. When you click on the login option at the top, the login form does not appear as supposed to be.

I have use Chloe in www.wzhsm.com
But the top box area, problem happened like attached.
The first 3 boxes , no problem.
But from the 4th boxes, it is not in line.

You can fix this by changing the padding of boxes' .

Chloe's CSS (see below) is correct you don't need to change margin or padding.
.chloe_fp_box { margin:0 3% 30px 0; padding:0; width:30%; float:left; }
Each box occupies 30 + 3 = 33% width of the container, meaning 3 boxes per row. But the height of the box is flexible. Either write the same amount of text on each box or set a standard height on the boxes to achieve absolute line up.
.chloe_fp_box { margin:0 3% 30px 0; padding:0; width:30%; float:left; min-height:52px; vertical-align:top; }
I use min-height and not height in order the box to display content in all cases and displays (eg mobile devices).
Set the proper value for min-height depending on the contents of your data.

I'm using the chloe-template on a local-installation.
If I use a modul (i.e. a menue) in the LEFT position, it shows up in the RIGHT column too.
Is there a possibility to use both?
Or - if not, what can I do to mirror the column? (All moduls set as left or right are showing up on the left side)

Template Chloe has been designed with one side column. In order to display all the modules assigned by Elxis default installation in both left and right positions is fits both module positions in one column. You cannot display 2 columns unless you re-design the template. I advice you to leave it as is. You dont need 3 columns except maybe from the frontpage but there you can use Elxis frontpage grid and get any layout you like.

You have to edit only this line (81) :
.chloe_container { margin:0 auto; width:auto; max-width:1200px; padding:0; }
Set maximum width to anything you want.

The change that you told me works for all the site except the home page. How can i shorten the start page? The "problem" is the pictures, they stretch and they show bad.

The change I told you works everywhere. It sets the maximum width of the central area of template Chloe. I recommend you to leave it as is, such values have been set for maximum compatibility and best display. I have designed the template for this value. If you want to change that then you might have to change other things too. I have a help text saying which should be the sizes of the images for the frontpage slider (if you mean that) in order to achieve the best display. I don't know for other images.

I don't like when the images get streched on slider. This don't display good in responsive for other devices. Deformate the images.
I use max-width: 1200px for the slider.
Do you have a solution?

If you use wide images the result is perfect. The height is also important. If you use wide and short images you will be OK (example: 1200x300). If the images wont get stressed the result will not be good at all, believe me. If you don't want the slider don't use it. All responsive sliders work the same way. The trick is to use the right images.

Hello,
I'm having problems with the logout button at the top of the template, get this error: Logout failed with error message.
I checked the error log file, but nothing is stored there related to the logout problem.
Also the same error shows when click on logout using the Login (mod_login) Version 1.3 component.
Strange is that you can logout normally from the profile page.

Hi,
I love this template, but I need two columns (right and left) that will only be shown if there are some modules in them.
I would also like 4 module positions at the bottom to place some modules.
Can anyone help me to achieve this?

OK, i thing i got it
I do some edit at chloe.class.php ($i < 10 )
and to chloe.xml for admin settings
It seems its working
Do i forgot something ?

I'm using the chloe-template on my site.
Question (proposal)
1. - How can i use the mouse over (out) event on button ilogin , instead click event ? (The same on icons Bookmarks, messages)
- When a user is connected the pop up window or list Menu, on mouse over event, will displays: My profile button, Logout button, Mycart, MyBookmarks, Mymessages
2. At Version 1.1 you Added icons at the top corner for managing bookmarks, notes, reminders and personal messages with the same onmouseclick event and slide-down all "chloe_topline1".
- Is it posible to Be used a pop up window instead slide-down of chloe_topline1 with appearance login-module, in it?
I think just watching the icons the member does not understand or escape attention what function do.
Especially bookmarks icon that is associated with the entire tyin add page to favorites browser.
I think that mod adminmessages of Elxis 4.4 is the best appearance for Messages at frontend of Chloe templete.
