A new plugin for Elxis 4.x i have almost completed named "Flip Book" which you can see it here (http://www.osw.gr/flipbook.html). The plugin displays a folder of images (jpg, jpeg, png, gif) like an open book turning the pages with a nice effect like we turn pages by hand. The pages can be turned either by arrows either by keyboard.
The generic syntax of the plugin is simple {flipbook}path_to_the_images_folder{/flipbook} setting only the path of the images folder. The final display is controlled by plugin parameters.
The plugin which is mobile friendly after some tests will be available free on EDC.

Thank you also Amigamerlin that you recognize my work.
I work on this idea of a such a plugin for Elxis 4.x a long time and i have tested various jQuery plugins which i found on net doing that and my final decision was based on 2 factors i) the best result and ii) to be possible to publish free on EDC cause of license. I wanted also to give additional functionality like zoom, carousel navigation and full screen display. So the plugin which you see is a combination of 4 jQuery plugins all licensed under MIT License. I added also option of auto thumbnail creation in order to load images fast, as also option to show the order of images by name, older first, newer first. Into parameters of the plugin i have set a lot of controls (see attached image) for the final display on which i have to work now for english and greek languages files (descriptions).

Nikos, send me language file, I'll translate in Italian and I'll send you back ;).
In that way you can publish it with italian language included too.

I still work on this from time to time, because full screen display and carousel navigation are not working on more than one flipbooks at the same article.

I know nothing about codes, but the sample book in the demo link can be dragged outside the webpage with the mouse (I use Chrome).

Yes can be with any browser, but this is not a problem, it is a feature of Zoom function and clicking on reset-zoom button restores flipbook to its initial position. Disabling Zoom by parameters, dragging option disappears.
Flip book plugin has many features which you will find out when i will publish it. For example you can turn pages, apart of by mouse and by keyboard pressing left and right arrows of your keyboard. Try it to see how nice works ;)

I worked a little bit on the plugin where I have made some improvements adding responsive carousel navigation and page menu selector. On the online example (http://www.osw.gr/flipbook.html) I have published all options and I would like your comments and remarks which are more than welcome regarding its functionality, specially on mobile devices, because I use a windows phone and I can test it only with this.
