Welcome codeloveme to Elxis CMS

The Content Category (blog view) you have chosen shows the articles with titles and into-text . If you want apart intro-text to show and the title you can do it from the menu item parameters. If you want to show only the title (without intro-text), then from the menu you have to select Content Category (table view) and has not to do anything with the template you use.

You are welcome

The position and style of the date is matter of css and the template.

Suggestion: As i see you use Elxis 2009.x which is the older generation of Elxis CMS. Try to make your site with Elxis 4.x which is the new generation and has much more possibilities. Documentation you can find here (https://www.elxis.net/docs/) and extensions here (https://www.elxis.net/). A comparison of these 2 you can see here (https://www.elxis.org/elxis-4-and-elxis-20093-comparison.html)
