Post by: Blacksoll on July 07, 2013, 10:16:30
Every time i try to install something i get the following message : Could not rename/move /httpdocs/greenrepo/tmp/package_20130707065534_969/buynow.plugin.php

This is the error of the paypal buy now.......
/greenrepo/ is my  repository folder....I tried to chmod some folders but no luck. The error is still there...

One solution
- Download the folder greenrepo on your pc.
- Delete it from your web server and
- Upload manually once again.
- Change the folders permissions.

Check this out and inform us.
* You can use Filezilla (https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client)

One more tip: Enable and configure correctly the FTP connection from Administrator panel (General Settings).

Just tried the solution................
Didn't worked   :(
The folder perm. where 755 , i tried with 777 but still no luck. FTP settings at admin panel are ok.

Same prob with any way....Even when i upload file from pc. No mater what module i try.

Code: [Select]
Could not rename/move /httpdocs/greenrepo/tmp/package_20130708130056_243/mod_superarticles.php

Is there a manual installation process ???

You should communicate with your website hosting provider. Before that can you please send me a private message with an FTP and Administrator access to your Elxis CMS Installation?

Ready.
Each time you want to install an extension change the relative folder permission to 777, install the extension and after the process will complete successfully change the folder permissions to 755.

In case of components the folder is /components/
In case of modules the folder is /modules/
In case of Content Plugins the folder is /components/com_content/plugins/

That's it!
