Title: Cannot edit content

Hey,

I have the problem that I was editing an item from my news section when the power went down (pc).
When i came back online. The content was blocked. Even in the admin pannel i cannot unlock it. or delete or open.
any ideas cause now I have an bad newsrepport where i can't get rid of?

You should try to delete the entire cache from your browser, and login as administrator to backend. Then try to open that item for editing.

Then try logging as an administrator and go to System Tools -> CheckIn My Items. And if that don't work, you can always get in your DB and edit that record directly.

Here is some information regarding your problem.

If you have one or more users the following exist in any case.

When you open an "item" (section - category - content - module - mambot), this item becomes locked for everyone else (also yourself) until you save your current job.
This action from Elxis CMS is to protect your content from losing any data.

So if you ever meet a locker in place of the check box before the name (and belongs to you, on mouse over the locker there is a notice) you must perform a "Check in" for your item, from the System tools menu.

Also I suggest you buy the Elxis Book. This will solve all your questions.
